The Center for Wireless Information Network Studies (CWINS) is a renowned wireless research laboratory focused on measurement and molding of indoor radio propagation for wireless access and localization applications. The research program in wireless information networks at WPI was established by Professor Kaveh Pahlavan in 1985 as the first US research program in modern wireless information networks. For over twenty five years, by publishing pioneering textbooks, seminal visionary papers and patents and an international periodical journal as well as organizing key workshops and conferences, the center has played a unique role in the growth of the wireless LAN industry. » Read more
