The following table shows the equipment list for the experimental wireless campus testbed. The total cost is $268,000 and is funded by NSF/WPI.

The facilities of CWINS are supported and extended by the resources of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department. These include 38 DEC MIPS Unix Workstations, 12 DEC Alpha Workstations, 2 HP 9000 Workstations, 3 SUN IPX Workstations, 100 386/486 PCs, 1 MAsPar 1024 processor massively parallel computer. The ECE Dept. also maintains a complete network (thinwire Ethernet) running TCP/IP, Novell, DECNet, Pathworks protocols, with high-speed Internet access and has a well-equipped electronics shop with complete maintenance facilities and staff.
